What comes next and the balance

Well I should have listened to my last post and got more sleep last night and in the last few days also, but I didn't and now I am way too tired. The reason for not sleeping is you. I want to create a great web experience for you so that is what drives me. My oldest site, hotheadlines.com.au has been getting an increasing amount of traffic so I want to add more features to it and see what works best. I am keen to increase the time on site and reduce the bounce rate, but aren't we all. The main content areas are fine and in the right area but the smaller article areas are suffering. I have probably already covered this before so sorry if I am boring you. The latest feature shows the most read headlines for the past week and shows this on each page. When you go to an article page, you have automatically updated the statistics so there is no extra effort required. Let’s call it passive involvement or passive social networking.

Now to my other blog, I-like-photography. With the help of a banner on hotheadlines this site is also experiencing a steady flow of traffic and even the odd google hit. So that is positive. I really enjoy photography and want to help others with their photography too.

The traffic here has fallen off a lot since i removed the banner from hotheadlines so I will have to do something about that.

The balance is working out ok and seems to be Who's a clever boy articles happen on the train, I like photography happens once or twice a week at home along with hotheadlines and this helper blog happens on my lunch break. That's four websites.
